With great care and passion, we have renovated our listed and landmarked mountain farm. We strived to unite the historical fabric with modern elements to create a harmonious overall picture.
Nestled into the UNESCO World Heritage Site ‘Dolomites”, on 1,510 metres above sea level, in the sun-kissed village of Eores near Bressanone/South Tyrol – Here, our beloved farm stands since the 15th century. We invite you to a discovery journey into our historical walls and look forward to welcoming you soon to your farm holidays at “ban Hofa”.
Spacious & fully renovated holiday apartments
Our home radiates a very particular charm and shows life traces from various centuries. Every room is unique, and every corner tells a history. The uneven lime finish, the thick stone walls and the many small peculiarities make it absolutely special. Our landmarked farm offers three spacious and fully renovated vacation homes with space for up to 6 persons. During the renovation, we’ve attached particularly importance to natural materials and pleasant colour schemes, which won’t distract your eye from the beauty of the surrounding nature. Cosiness and living comfort are paramount for us.
South Tyrolean Breakfast Basket
No matter whether you prefer to start your day in a sweet or savoury way: We pamper you all year round with regional and home-made delicacies. Our lovingly packed sweet breakfast basket includes crunchy bread rolls, jams and syrups, honey from our meadows and forests, tea from our herb garden or coffee, as well as butter, yogurt, cereals and freshly baked cake.
The savoury breakfast basket offers homemade bacon (‘Speck’) and smoked sausages, as well as South Tyrolean cheese and fresh eggs from our happy chickens. In the morning, the full breakfast basket is placed quietly in front of your apartment door.

Cooking and eating are two of our favourite hobbies. We greatly value fresh and healthy foods. Our garden as well as the surrounding meadows and forests always offer new seasonal delicacies. We are particularly proud of the fresh meat from our young cattle. Raising the calves together with the herd of the mother cow offers optimal conditions for the well-being and the health of the animals. After its birth, the calf remains with the mother and is fed predominantly with its mother’s milk – and later grass and hay. We do not use any other animal feed. Natural livestock farming and plenty of movement guarantee taste and quality.
Upon request, you’re welcome to buy the meat, as well as the vegetables and fresh herbs from our garden and the eggs from our chickens to prepare tasty meals. We’re happy to show you our rural everyday life, and you may help with the hay work or in the stable feeding our animals. So many special places
In some places, time seems to stand still. There are many special spots waiting for you at and around our farm. Until you have found your own favourite places, we’ll reveal you ours.
“The small church at “Freienbühel” is a very calming place and I like to come up here often. Since it’s only a short walk from the farm, I can go at any time of the day and so I am here quite regularly.
However, my absolute favourite place is our alpine hut, the “Hofa Gompm”. Already as a child I spent time here to take care of the cows and to experience ever new adventures. After the summer, I didn’t want to go home, and I feel the same today. The beautiful mountains, the fragrant alpine herbs, sleeping in the hay, the soothing silence, never thinking about what time it is… “

“My beautiful big garden is my favourite place. There are many flowers and shrubs, fresh herbs and vegetables and a green lawn on the terrace. It has been like this since childhood and I always wanted it this way. Gardening is my recipe for balance.
Once or twice a year I embark on my favourite sunrise hike to “Sas de Putia”. My breakfast tastes particularly good up here. Then I take a short nap in the alpine meadows and the start of the day is perfect.”
